Doc Washburn grew up in Charlotte, NC. By the time he was in Junior High School, he knew he wanted to be on the radio. He got into radio because he loved music! Altogether, he was a DJ for over 20 years in markets like Charlotte, Greenville-Spartanburg, and Austin. Ironically it never occurred to him that talk radio could be compelling until he started listening to Rush Limbaugh on a regular basis in 1992.
He eventually wound up hosting talk shows in Savannah, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City. As a single father of six kids, he is passionately concerned about the issues he discusses each day. He is also taking a correspondence course on how to develop a sense of humor. Doc’s hope is that his peeps will eventually judge his show to be "off the chain."
